Blogger and author Ree Drummond, also known as The Pioneer Woman, talks about the hilarity of doing a cooking segment on the show for her new children's book and its inspiration: her dog, Charlie.
Earlier this week, blogger and food writer Ree Drummond, also known as "The Pioneer Woman," was a guest on TODAY to talk about her new children's book about her basset hound, "Charlie, the Ranch Dog." So naturally, for the segment she made ... lasagna? Yep, Ree showed Al Roker how to make Charlie the dog's favorite meal.
Before she flew back to her ranch in Oklahoma, I caught up with Ree backstage where she talked about the hilarity of her unusual cooking demonstration (perhaps the first to date to include a dog bowl), and admitted that she shares Charlie's love of bacon and all things fattening. We're right there with ya, Ree!
